The snowshoe hare can be found in the temperate woodlands.

THE SNOWSHOE HARE:

-medium-sized rabbit

-feet are 11-15cm long

-adapt to traveling in the snow

-noted for changing color fur, in the winter it is all white, and for the rest of the year it is grayish-brown

-can run up to 27 mph

-can jump 10 ft in one hop

-found in the United States and Canada

-live in tundra, taiga, open fields, forests, and along riversides

-it is hunted by the wolf, bobcat, and lynx

-good swimmmers
